The foundation of the nursing profession is holistic care for the patient to promote their health mentally, emotionally and physically as well as to prevent disease.

Through learning additional patient-centered skills such as integrative health coaching, a nurse can add to their individual practice strategies that embrace the patient’s unique physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. The tools and principles of integrative health coaching are applicable to a nurse’s personal and family life as well.
