School nursing is a unique specialty that elevates independent nurse skills and expertise in the context of an educational environment. Join us to understand your role as a school nurse, important special education/504 information, and expand your resources to support you in your new role. You will receive 6 contact hours for the live event. You will also have time limited access to four online modules (hearing screening, vision screening, role of the school nurse...) you can do at your own pace within the time frame allotted. Total nursing continuing professional development 23 hours. Light breakfast and lunch will be served.

Join us for a practical orientation designed specifically for new school nurse supervisors. This program will help you build confidence in your leadership role while providing guidance on school health policies, staff supervision, communication, compliance, and day-to-day operational challenges. Connect with experienced colleagues, gain valuable resources, and leave with tools and strategies to successfully support your nursing team and student health services. We strongly encourage you to also register for the New School Nurse Orientation.
Many of our events and e-learning modules provide CNE credit!
Ensure new school nurses meet the state requirement for an orientation in their first six months of employment.
