PHC Committee Hearings:

 

SB 93 Implementing the rural Health Transformation Program and to Expand Health Care Access (concern over language 'contract' and lack of DPH over sight on "contract" nurses' aides)

HB 5169 WPV. Establishment of an alert in the state-wide health information exchange regarding patients with a history of violence or combative behavior toward a healthcare provider.

HB 5242 Requiring certain health care facilities to allow terminally ill qualifying patients to use cannabis. Hearing 2/18

HB 5511 DPH consent orders. Opposed. BOEN should not be bypassed with consent orders. Offering agreements outside the process including the BOEN can create undue pressure to accept a quick resolution, discouraging individuals from exercising their right to full Board of Nursing review and potentially leading to decisions made under discomfort rather than informed judgment.
